Okay, which awesome London-based person would want to see Fiona Shaw in a Samuel Beckett play (Happy Days) at the National with me, directed by Deborah Morgan (who directed her in Medea & Julius Caesar, as well)?
Tickets, if we did a preview night (Jan 18 - 23) would be £20 or £25 pounds. Any of the other shows (in Feb.) would be between £20 and £35 for good seats. I shall see if I can use my hookup to get discount tix, but no guarantees. But I know this must appeal to someone on my list. You can't really appreciate the brilliance of Fiona Shaw until you've seen her on stage.
ETA: OMG and The Reporter in Feb/March! Penned by Nicholas Wright, directed by Richard Eyre and starring Ben Chaplin about a journalist? I'm THERE. Also at the National. Tickets are between £10 and £28.
I want budddieeeeesssss!!!!! :D
